All analyses are conducted in Excel.

Even missing data are treated as data with meaning.
All analyses are conducted along timelines.

This system supports data sampled at regular intervals.

Deer, bear, wild boar, and serow in Japan and sloth in Brazil. Species that have not been analysed with this system

Burrowing species, such as martens and badgers, that exhibit daily periodic data gaps.
Problems may arise when processing such data.

Species to which this system is not applicable.

Aquatic species: sampling at regular interval is impossible as GPS cannot position them in the water.

A well-planned positioning schedule can make timeline analysis more rewarding.

Basics: Keeping a regular interval.

Avoid the followings:

Frequent change in intervals.
Irregular interval schedules.

This schedule assumes that diurnal animals do not relocate during night hours [21, 0, 3].
However, assumptions are just assumptions, not facts; they need to be verified.

Positioning failures and no positioning operations at all are totally different in the meaning .
The former has information, but the latter does not.

This system can now handle this setting, but generally it is safer to avoid this irregularity.

This setting should never be adopted for timeline analysis.
