System Outline
It conducts all analyses within Excel and presents the results on a 3D map.
Movements is an integrated GPS data analysis system.
It actually is an Excel file with macros. Its extension is "xlsm".
It conducts all the analyses along timelines and finally creates a kml file.
The kml file shows the analysis results on the Google Earth 3D-map.
The system presumes raw unprocessed GPS data, although partly processed data is acceptable.
First, it removes problematic data, such as outliers, and creates a data set for analysis.
Then, it conducts analyses. All analyses are conducted along timelines.
Finally, it creates a kml file to present the results on the Google Earth 3D map.
Although developed for wildlife, it is in principle applicable to any GPS data of any moving objects.
The system works on both Mac and Windows.
The system has Japanese and English modes: they can be switched over as needed.
